Dr. Caroline Gilje
Dr. Gilje was born and raised in West St. Louis County and graduated from Parkway West High School in 1977. Upon graduation she attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where she graduated from veterinary school in 1984. In 1990, she founded the Barrett Station Veterinary Clinic. Her special veterinary interests include surgery, ophthalmology, and pocket pets.
She married Mark Gilje in 2000 and they have two wonderful daughters, Brittany and Madeline. They are also blessed with three dogs, two horses, one cat, and a guinea pig.
When not practicing veterinary medicine she enjoys: horseback riding; golf; upland bird hunting with her dogs; skiing; and fly fishing. On a quieter note, she loves cooking, artistic writing using calligraphy and woodworking projects.
